Fish on a Stick (squash too!)

Even by the creek it was hot yesterday.  We languished, swam, and even napped for a couple of hours at a time.  The big treat of the day was fish on a stick.  This delectable delight is only available creekside (do not try this in your home kitchen)
It's primitive, but there's no better way to eat a fish.

Fire, fish sticks and seasonings are ready to go

A few nice plates

Roasting the gutted and rinsed fish

Peel off skin and eat!


Peeling another

add a little seasoned salt

a squeeze of lemon

finger linking good

or you can do it this way!

Squash can be done the same way!

Roasted over a fire summer squash taste like popcorn!

Add in a couple of table onions
Don't let the heat get you down!
